Gotta love the kids

Ok, so Keedon and I had a little one on one time the other day, and it was at the hands of Quinton... here's how the story goes... Keedon 'wanted' to go potty (I say wanted, cuz he just sits on the pot and then says "all done!" and leaves nothing behind...) anyway, so we trot into the main bathroom and close the door behind us so Quinton doesn't distract him (I'm always hoping Keed makes something of these trips) and he's doin' his thing when Quint starts playing with the bi fold door in the hallway just outside the bathroom door, and then I hear him open the bifold door and he cheers... cute... but wait. So, Keedon finishes up and we try to open the bathroom door and much to our surprise, it won't open (it opens out) cuz it got jammed on the bifold door that won't close either cuz it's open all the way! I tried everything to pry the doors apart from the inside, which was of no luck. I opened the window and thought of jumping out, yeah right, it's small, my belly is big and it's a 10 foot drop, upside down! So, to sum up: I heard the question "what's that?" about 850 times while we read the ensigns together, stuck in the bathroom waiting for Coby to come home. He did come home 45 minutes later! He couldn't figure out why we were in the bathroom letting Quinton literally cover the floors in toys, and stuff from the cupboards!

PS: this isn't even the first locked out/in experience I've had with them! The first in this house was when I didn't even know Keedon could reach the lock and I went out to check the mail in the late afternoon... Keedon turned the lock above the door knob and I could not convince him to turn it back, he just didn't get it... so I waited outside for Coby to come home while the "todds" fended for themselves!

(We have a hide a key now..)

Brandy, that's great! these are the moments of life! Sadly both of my kids would have been bawling for the 45 min. they realized the door wouldn't open. Good thing Quinton can have a little fun on his own!

Oh my goodness! I laughed and laughed at this! I am so glad that I am not the only one who gets locked in by toddlers. I was in the shower, and Matthew was playing with the broom while waiting for me. Somehow he wedged the broom between the cupboard and the shower door and I was trapped. I was trapped, and the water was getting cold! Finally (after only about 5 minutes, but what seemed like an eternity) he figured out how to 'un-wedge' it. I couldn't push too hard on the shower door because I was afraid the shower door would shatter!

Oh, kids...what are you gonna do!
