This probably isn't that interesting for many... but, I wanted to get down how we spent the new year...
New Years Eve we found ourselves all sick, except for Cambel.
We went to bed early after watching a new movie...
We had everything it seemed like... Keedon had his first Ear infection... Eye infection and threw up for his first time. He had the flu.
Quinton got off lucky with just a cold.
I got everything Keedon had, and a sinus infection, but, never went to the doctor until it had been a week and I was feeling worse... so I got antibiotics and 7 days later I feel better...
Coby also had it all, he missed a week of work and we just took turns taking short naps and feeding and entertaining our sickos. He was so awesome... I knew he had to feel awful, cuz I did, but, he would take his turn while I rested and he even helped the boys have fun... and actually one night, I was feeding Cambel and Coby rocked Keedon back to sleep and a half hour later he rocked Quinton back to sleep, and then when he finished and Cambel woke up cuz of gas, he rocked him back to sleep so he wouldn't wake me... I found out that he went to bed at about 2 in the morning... how selfless.
It is now the 11th of January and we saw daylight for the first time this year... it actually feels like the 1st day of the year to me... but, I have to keep reminding myself that the world kept turning even though ours stood still.
I often wondered what was happening to us and Coby voiced his hope that this wasn't a manifestation of how the rest of the year was going to be...
But, now I really have a huge appreciation for our lives, our family and our health.
I also have felt the spirit really strong in our home the last few days and I wonder if we just needed to slow down and be together... I also know that it stems from our family's prayers and support and love.
(and the cute get well cards from Macey and Connor, thanks Jess n Ryan!)
PS... Cambel did end up getting sick, but thankfully after I was feeling better, so now we can really care for him... and even though his little baby eyes are swollen and goopy and his nose is runny and his head is hot and he is only comfortable in one position... nursing... he will give us a big smile when we talk to him, what a great spirit he has.
